11 Sep, 2026

Finally after the document verification process of Round 1 the NEET UG Medical & Dental Admission/Counselling Board, Rajasthan, functioning under SMS Medical College, Jaipur, has officially released the Round 2 counselling schedule for NEET UG 2026. Now, the aspirants must mark their dates, collect documents, and fees to get your desired seat in this round.

Here's everything you need to know about Round 2 of Rajasthan NEET Counselling 2026.

When Was the Result Released?

The Round 2 schedule was released on 5 September 2026, and the process kicked off almost immediately. Candidates could begin applying online from 6 September 2026, and the window to submit both Part 1 and Part 2 of the application closed on 8 September 2026 at 8 PM. Filling out both parts of the form is mandatory — missing either one makes you ineligible to proceed further, so don't treat this as optional paperwork.

For candidates in the Defence, Para-Military, and NRI categories, in-person certificate verification was scheduled for 9 September 2026, from 10 AM to 3 PM. This step is separate from the general online process and requires physical presence, so anyone in these categories should keep an eye on official notifications for venue details.

Following registration and verification, the Round 2 seat allotment result is set to be declared on 14 September 2026.

Candidates should also note that the last date to join an allotted seat and complete document verification typically falls close on the heels of the result — historically within a day or two — so it pays to be ready with your documents the moment the allotment list drops.

As always with state counselling processes, the Board has a track record of revising dates mid-round when needed, so it's worth checking the official portal, ug.neetrajasthan.com regularly rather than relying on a single date sheet.

Who can Apply in Round 2 of NEET UG 2026

Round 2 isn't just for fresh applicants. It's open to:

•Candidates who registered in Round 1 but didn't receive a seat allotment

•Candidates who were allotted a seat but did not join, or resigned after joining

•Candidates who joined a seat in Round 1 but wish to upgrade to a better one

•New candidates applying for the first time

If you already have a seat from Round 1 and are happy with it, you generally don't need to participate in Round 2 — but if you want to try for an upgrade, you'll need to fill your choices again, since previously submitted preferences don't automatically carry forward.

Application Fee

Fresh candidates registering in Round 2 need to pay a non-refundable application fee:

₹2,500 for General/OBC/EWS and other categories

₹1,500 for SC, ST, and ST-STA candidates with Rajasthan domicile

Applicable transaction charges apply on top of this. PwBD/PwD candidates additionally need to upload an Eligibility Certificate issued by an MCC-designated centre, which will be verified online, though the original must still be carried for physical reporting.

Security Deposit: What to Expect

Along with choice filling, eligible candidates are required to pay a refundable security deposit — a mandatory step to confirm serious participation in the allotment process. Based on the structure the Board has followed in recent counselling cycles, the deposit typically varies by seat category:

A moderate amount for MBBS seats in government medical colleges

A higher deposit for government society colleges and RUHS management seats

The steepest deposit — often running into a few lakh rupees — for NRI seats and MBBS seats in private medical colleges

A comparatively smaller deposit for BDS seats in both government and private dental colleges

Candidates who already paid the security deposit in Round 1 usually don't need to pay it again unless there's a difference to be deposited based on a change in choices. Since exact figures for security deposits are confirmed in the official information booklet each year, candidates should cross-check the precise amount on the official website before making any payment.

Seat Matrix Snapshot

Rajasthan's state counselling covers 85% state quota seats across MBBS and BDS programmes in government, government society (RajMES), RUHS, ESIC, and private medical/dental colleges — with the remaining 15% All India Quota seats handled separately by the MCC.

Vacant seats for Round 2 typically include a mix of government, general, management, and NRI category seats for MBBS, along with government and management seats for BDS, depending on how many candidates joined or resigned after Round 1.

Final Tips for Candidates

•Double-check both Part 1 and Part 2 of your application before the deadline — incomplete submissions aren't accepted later.

•Keep your all documents arranged, and a scanned copy of all required documents in advance.

•Choice filling must be done with great care because allotment is strictly based on your submitted preferences and merit rank.

Bookmark ug.neetrajasthan.com  and check it daily, for any more updates. As missing a deadline in state counselling can mean losing a shot at a seat entirely, so treat every date on this schedule as non-negotiable.
