Finally after the document verification process of Round 1 the NEET UG Medical & Dental Admission/Counselling Board. MCC has officially released the Round 2 counselling schedule for NEET UG 2026. Now, the aspirants must mark their dates, collect documents, and fees to get your desired seat in this round.
Here's everything you need to know about Round 2 of NEET UG Counselling 2026.
The Round 2 schedule was released on 11 September 2026, and the process kicked off almost immediately. Candidates could begin applying online from 3 September 2026, and the window to submit choices will close on 9 September 2026.
This round covered seats under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ), along with seats in deemed universities, central universities also 85% of state quota seats.
To check your result follow these tips:-
•Visit the official MCC website — mcc.nic.in.
•Go on NEET UG Counselling 2026 link on the homepage
•Go to the Round 2 Seat Allotment Result section.
•Log in using your NEET roll number, registration number.
•Your seat allotment status will be displayed on screen, showing details like your NEET rank, allotted quota, institute, course, and category.
•Download and save the result PDF for your records — you'll need it at the time of document verification and reporting.
The Round 2 allotment result carries important seat matrix updates as well. MCC added new seats, along with clear and virtual vacancies for MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc Nursing courses, over the course of this round — so even candidates who missed out in Round 1 had a fresh shot at securing a seat.
Overall, Round 2 saw thousands of fresh allotments made across participating institutions.
If your result shows "No Seat Allotted," don't lose hope — you're still eligible to participate in Round 3, which will open a fresh registration window for candidates who missed both Round 1 and Round 2.

Opportunity has already come on your doorstep. So, not to lose it carry your documents in a well-organized manner. It must contain Provisional Seat Allotment Letter, NEET UG 2026 Admit Card and Score Card/Rank Letter, Class 10th Certificate and Mark Sheet (as Date of Birth proof), Class 12th Mark Sheet, Caste/Category Certificate (SC/BC-A/BC-B/EWS/PwD, if applicable),Online tuition fee payment receipt, Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID, or Passport) and 4 to 6 passport-size photographs.
In round 1 MCC gives option to withdraw or exit but from Round 2 onward, any exit comes with a forfeiture — meaning candidates who choose to withdraw after being allotted a seat in Round 2 may lose their security deposit and, in some cases, face restrictions on further participation. So, be wise and take your decision carefully.
For candidates who are unsatisfied with their Round 2 allotment or didn't get a seat at all, Round 3 registration is expected to open soon, with MCC likely to announce the schedule shortly.
Fresh candidates — those who skipped both earlier rounds — will also get a chance to register at this stage.
Remember that NEET UG counselling work in two parallel track:-
MCC conducts counselling for 15% All India Quota seats and seats in central institutions.
While individual state counselling authorities handle the remaining 85% state quota seats and private medical college admissions separately.
Keep your eye on both if you're eligible for state quota also.
So, aspirants MCC has completed its work now the real work lies with you including checking your allotment carefully, collecting all documents and reporting on time without waiting for the last date.
